A Little about meNothing of me is original. I am a 30 something Texan-by-choice navigating the Big D, where I'm a strategy leader by day and podcast aficionado during most other hours. I'm a graduate of Texas State and UNC Charlotte, where I earned a degree in Marketing and an MBA in Innovation & Growth Strategies. Now as a full-fledged adult, I'm a student of the world - and of any free course, webinar, or eBook I stumble across. Some call it being an academic; some diagnose it as Peter Pan syndrome. I like to say I'm a professional student because I've spent the overwhelming majority of my life buried in books and because quite frankly - I'm pretty damn good at it.
People that know me will say without much hesitation I'm Type A. For those who get the reference, my colors are blue, green, red, yellow. And as such, I'm frequently tempted down the rabbit hole on the hunt for answers with a sense of urgency and a running to-do list to keep me on track. Someone wise once told me that self-awareness is critical to success and I just so happen to know I operate best under pressure and when there's an element of detective work. Visual type? I'd describe my mind as a constant reel of Post-It notes raining ideas and random reminders stitched together with themes or concepts soaked in over the years. A blog seems like a logical place to collect and make sense of it all. The big picture? The sheer number of things I aspire to be is too much for one lifetime, but that's a minor detail. To date, my list includes becoming an author, professor, owner of an animal sanctuary, international pop-star, news anchor, ESPN exec, and lastly a Victoria's Secret angel. I'm also a bit of a realist, so I'm gunning for one of the last two. PASSIONS: ANIMAL RIGHTS, TACOS, LGBTQ EQUALITY, PRODUCT MARKETING, PODCASTS, AND SPORTS I might be a little stressed, addicted to coffee, and laser focused on the details, but in the words of one bad mamma jamma, "ask me how it's working for me." STICK AROUND. I'M JUST GETTING STARTED.

The short list |
I am an ordinary person that has been blessed with extraordinary people. And dogs. I could spend hours talking about the amazing people in my life, but these are the key players.
These are the animals - my daily dose of furry joy. Mia and Remi are two of the best things I never expected to happen to me. This super fine lady is the one I like to refer to as Mother Dear (sorry Mom). She's always said the apple didn't fall far from the tree and thank God for it. I hope I evolve to be even half as independent, strong-willed, and free spirited as she is. Look up the definition of a "cool mom." It's her picture next to it.
Meet Mike. The original Mike. The one who refuses to call me Myk, but that I am grateful to call Dad. My superhero inspires me to work until I think the limit has been reached and then push further. He calls it character building. I say that's what makes him father-of-the-year every single year.
I know what you're thinking. We hit the gene pool jackpot. I love my big, blended, and hilarious family more than I could say. Like Derek Zoolander so eloquently communicated, there is so much more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking, and I can't wait to tell you all about them.
